I know, I know. I am literally the worst "blogger" of all time. The last post was Christmas, pathetic! If anyone out there is still interested in following this thing, you must really love us!
Things have been going pretty well. Justin has been really busy at work, sometimes spending 12+ hours a day at that place! It is a great thing that he enjoys his work so much, but boy his hours make for a tired husband each night! As I half type, half watch the Olympics, he's asleep on the couch :)
We took a leap of faith earlier this month as I quit my preschool job. I took a part time position in a local public school. My job is to work with 3-5th graders in a computer lab. As most of you know, I'm not exactly good with computers and "big kids" kind of scare me, but I'm handling both pretty well :) It feels so good to be back in a school! My hope is that getting my foot in the door will make it possible to score a full time position this fall! I am spending a lot of time in prayer regarding God's plan--I'm just excited to follow along! This is kind of a rant, but sometimes I feel like just going somewhere and doing what I can to help--Justin and I just talked tonight about heading to Haiti. If anyone is planning a missions trip abroad and would like a partner(s) let us know :)
Most of you are our Facebook friends and have seen our vacation pictures--I am sorry I can't add them here now--our camera is broken :( My handyman is going to see if he can fix it, so hopefully I'll be able to add some pics soon!

Christmas 2009
We had an awesome time celebrating Christmas with our families in Indianapolis and in Michigan! Highlights from our Indy visit were spending time with family at both Grandma Jackie's and Grandpa and Grandma Stower's house playing games and eating great food at both :), hanging out at home with Mom, Dad, Lauren and James--Dad got a Wii for Christmas and we had a blast learning how to bowl, golf, and play tennis on the Wii. Justin and I were actually sore the next day...either we are getting old or those games really do provide a workout! I also really loved spending time shopping with Lauren on the day after Christmas!! I really love my sister-in-law and wish we could spend time together more often!
Michigan was a winter wonderland! We had so much sledding with Maddy, Jake and Chandy--there is something about bundling up and playing in the snow that made us feel like kids again! We also had fun swimming, playing pool and eating Jett's Pizza at a hotel. Of course, we loved Dad's Dutch cooking and Mom's cookies! We were also able to visit with my Mom in Bay City and Ericka (niece) in Grand Rapids--it was an awesome visit!
Sweet Maddy and Auntie reading books in the Bay City Library--she loves reading as much as I do :)

Football Season is Here!!
Now normally this wouldn't be something to get me excited, but things have changed. Don't get me wrong, I have cheered on a football team before...but that was high school and I actually knew the boys playing. Since then I haven't cared much about the sport. But here is what has changed...it seems as though I have married a football FANATIC. Justin is playing in 3 fantasy football leagues and seems to know every statistic for every player who has ever played the game. I have really made an effort to learn the rules of football and Justin is being very patient teaching me. The more I learn, the more I enjoy watching :)
